College Recognition Scheme

The purpose of this scheme to officially give recognition to schools in the UK who are offering quality aromatherapy training and are “Centres of Excellence”. It is therefore a mark of approval by the AC and also helps prospective students to make a choice when choosing their training provider.

Students studying aromatherapy need to have an understanding of organic chemistry to understand why essential oils have the properties they possess and to ascertain safety aspects of using the oils on their clients.

 

They also study basic botany to understand biosynthesis and variability of oil production.
